While we wait for subscriber response to our invitation to receive a weekly “What’s New In Googolplex!” e-mail (see the December, 2007 e-mail), you and anyone on your staff can receive automatic e-mail notification whenever something goes live in C-Note, the high school interest level of Googolplex. Here’s how:

  1. Open up C-Note on your credit union site.
  2. Click on "Not yet registered" at the top of the page, under the entry boxes for logging on.
  3. Complete the registration form ("My C-Note Profile").
  4. Click as many or all of the notification boxes on the right-hand side of the registration form.
  5. Click "register."

You will receive automatic e-mail notification when the items you've checked off go live in C-Note. You can "unregister" yourself any time by returning to and changing the information in "My C-Note Profile."

Googolplex is hiring youth

Googolplex is seeking responsible young people with diverse backgrounds for a paid position as a member of its youth editorial board. No travel is necessary—we welcome applicants from all over the country.

Board membership requires a one-year commitment, and payment is based upon age level. Openings are available in three age brackets for the 2008-2009 school year (starting June 1): elementary school (grades 4-6), middle school (grades 7-8) and high school (grades 9-12).

For detailed information about the duties and pay rate for board members at each age level, or to request an application for a student you recommend or think might be interested, please contact Kelsey Balcaitis, Googolplex Board Liaison, at 800-356-9655, x4051, or at kbalcaitis@cuna.coop.

All requests for applications are due Monday April 14th. Completed applications are due Monday April 28th.

Feel free to forward this information to a teacher who might want to recommend a child.

Give youth print and online newsletters!
Every quarter we send you enough ready-to-print pages to create three full newsletters – one for elementary-school, middle-school, and high-school level readers. We provide newsletters in high resolution for print, and low resolution for e-mail or online viewing.

These lively newsletter pages give your young members previews of stories, activities and comics for the coming three months. Use them to direct young readers to your credit union web site, so they can see what’s new in 5-Spot, AJ's and C-Note.

IMPORTANT: You add your credit union logo and mailing information. You can print and distribute them, and also make them available as a link on your web site. Got that creative bug? Add your own stories, art, more pages, or customize in other ways - it’s up to you!

Here’s what you get:

  • Complete newsletter pages (in high resolution PDF and JPEG formats) for elementary through high school students. The newsletters feature comics, activities and teasers about stories and games for the coming three months.
  • All of those same newsletter pages in low-resolution PDF format for online and e-mail use.

Here’s how you get it:
To retrieve the ready-to-print, ready-to-view newsletter pages each quarter, log in to your Googolplex Set-up and Promotion page, select the pages you need, and download them free of charge.
