Q. Will you be changing Anytime Adviser each week?

A. No. The Anytime Adviser coaches deliver solid, time-tested strategies through interactive games and simulations. We rely on Home & Family Finance Resource Center to guide members through the current economy—the Resource Center delivers fresh consumer news each weekday and posts a new article on a current topic each week.

Q. Can I buy just one coach?

A. The six coaches are sold together. They are not available separately. If your concern is that a couple coaches might not apply to your members, you can "turn off" individual coaches. If, for example, your credit union does not offer credit cards and you did not want members to see the credit management coach, you could simply remove access to that coach through the customization form. Members, then, would see only the remaining four coaches. If you changed your mind, you could turn on access to that coach at any time.

Q. How many links can we make to Anytime Adviser?

A. As many as you’d like on your credit union’s Web site. You may link to the opening page that will feature all five coaches; also, you can link to any individual coach. You can even link to Anytime Adviser coaches from Googolplex and Home & Family Finance Resource Center and vice versa.

Q.Does Anytime Adviser link to other Web sites?

A. The six coaches in Anytime Adviser include links to Web sites that can offer more information. For example, the "Resources" button in the New Car Buying Guide refers members to helpful books and Web sites (including Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds). Many of these sites sell space to advertisers, including financial institutions, as a way to fund the information and research they provide viewers. Would your members visit these sites if we didn't mention them? Probably, as these sites come up in any typical Internet search.

Q.Can a credit union turn off links to other Web sites?

A. Yes. The Anytime Adviser customization page lets a credit union turn off all the links to external Web sites found in all six coaches. The default is to leave the links active. Despite advertising on external sites, members will return to the credit union. The Anytime Adviser coaches take every opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of doing business with the credit union, including the people helping people philosophy, better rates, lower fees, top customer service, and convenient access.

Q. How do I customize Anytime Adviser?

A. It's easy; it takes less than 10 minutes, and you can change the links anytime. Here are the specifics:

Customizing Anytime Adviser requires two simple tasks: 1) remembering your login name and password; and 2) cutting and pasting. (Remembering your password will probably be more difficult than the entire customization process, but don’t worry—we can remind you if you forget it.)

When you subscribe to Anytime Adviser, we ask you to choose a password. Your confirmation message from us will include your assigned login name and a link to an online form for customizing. This link will require you to give your login name and password, then it will lead you to your credit union’s customization page for Anytime Adviser. This form is quite similar to the online form you may have used to subscribe—you simply fill in the blanks.

Anytime Adviser coaches give your credit union the option to build three links back to specific pages on your Web site. The first, and largest, will typically be for your credit union’s name with a link back to your home page—this link is the same for all six coaches. This link will be in the upper left corner of each coach. On the form, you simply type in your credit union’s name and then copy and paste in the URL (Web site address) for your credit union’s home page.

Just below your credit union name are two more linking opportunities, which can be different for each coach. In the demo, we suggest, “Check our Rates” and “Apply Online.” Actually, you’ll be able to put in any phrase for each of these three linking opportunities, using a simple online customization form. You might prefer to type over one of the default phrases with “Rebates Beat 0%” and link it to the page in your credit union’s subscription to Home & Family Finance Resource Center displaying the calculator. You’ll just copy and paste this URL in the customization page.

Q. I’m having trouble viewing some screens in the demo. What’s wrong?

A. Nothing is wrong. Some pages in Anytime Adviser, were created with Flash and require Macromedia Flash Player to view. If your computer did not come with Flash Player already installed, you may download a free copy here.
